Dr. Riya Pulicharam serves as the National Medical Director, Population Health, and Clinical Outcomes at OptumCare and HealthCare Partners. In her role there, Dr. Pulicharam delivers protocol-specific scientific presentations and internal clinical outcomes data to physicians and decision-makers. She also actively participates with the pharmacy director, director of decision support, and the director of the IT department in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of data analysis for pharmacoeconomics and internal clinical outcomes, using medical and pharmacy claims. She is responsible for collaborating with academic centers, health plans, government institutions, and pharmaceutical and device companies in designing protocols for prespective and prospective data analysis for outcomes. Dr. Pulicharam serves as an adjunct professor at ASU at the college of health care delivery and a leader for Right Care Initiatives for Population Health. Dr. Pulicharam received her Medical Degree from the University of Debrecen and was a research fellow at UCLA.
